Clutch and flywheel question

6.7 engine in 2004.5 dodge 3500 dually

It looks good, fix some rust & it's a powerful truck!
Both eyes open of course, I would look at it, drive it, ask lots of questions. Talk to shops that might have worked on it.
Keep in mind some early 06 models had a finicky electrical system.
Best of blessings, Cheers bro!

Thanks for the reply. I have been looking for awhile now and just the upgrades are worth 10k. Both eyes open of course!! Lol, I like that line. Have a great day
Thanks Marcel

Sounds like a nice truck except for the rust. Amazing to me how quickly the road chemicals can trash a vehicle up north. I’d want some pics from underneath of EVERYTHING. Listing says it’s been undercoated, but when? Before or after the rust? Northern vehicles just scare me to death.

All that said, me and my family haven’t had good luck buying used vehicles in the past few months.
  • My father bought a really nice Silverado, on the 10 hour drive home the transmission cooler/radiator ruptured, filled the granny up with coolant, had to put a transmission and radiator in it.
  • My son bought an ‘06 Mustang. Ended up spending $900 on wiring repairs plus a reman ECM, new Smart Junction Box (or Body Control Module), and a salvage cluster. Now the fuel pump module’s bad.....
  • My father bought a nice fishing boat, low hours, nice shape. Fuel injected 4-stroke Yamaha never quite ran right. Ended up spending $1500 to disassemble and thoroughly clean the entire gummed up fuel system.
  • I bought what I thought was a nice beater square body 4x4 ‘83 S-10. 130K miles, two owner, BUT, it’s from Norfolk, both PO’s were Navy. I’ve had to replace the entire brake system front to back, both CV axles, all body mounts, and when I put it on the lift, discovered both floor pans have a plate sized rust hole in them.

My truck came out of Wyoming, it was a work truck and now that I've had it a few years the Rockers are bubbling and I expect that started out there already. Rust is a bugger! But in my opinion these trucks are worth fixing up
