Going back in time would probably be much easier than going forward. Any one of us would probably be seen as a genius, by people from the past, with our knowledge of things that they have never experienced. Of course, if we insisted on talking about things that we couldn't demonstrate, I suppose we would be seen as a village idiot, or insane.
On the other hand, unless society goes downhill, in the future, I would bet that people of the future would think we're stupid. There would probably be a lot of things very unfamiliar to us.
An example of what going to the future might be like:
Mrs Doc went to UPS the other day, to ship something back to QVC. Instead of the usual procedure of filling out a paper form, they had a bank of computers set up, that you used to fill out a digital form and then printed it and a label. The customer is supposed to do the whole process and then pay at the desk. There were several people there, trying to send packages, who had never used a computer. There was chaos at UPS, that day.
I understand that UPS allows you to fill out the form and pay for shipping online, then a brown truck will pick up the package. I suppose your credit card doesn't get charged until they verify the package weight. I hope some of the UPS employees don't have a habit of resting their elbow on your package while it's on the scale.
