The stock pads had a bevel on both ends which apparently was a way to identify when pad replacement was due.

The bevel is actually there to help manage a high frequency vibration issue that initates on the leading edge of the pad and causes the brakes to squeal. We used to file a bevel on new pads years ago before the manufacturers started doing it for the same reason.

just check brakes on 05 3500. thier shot at25000 . inever had brakes shot so soon. if you been putting brakes on that soon i would turn them. close to junk
