Just picked my truck up today at Auto Wurks Diesel. It is incredible!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be amazed if nothing breaks. I need to find a nice wide open road so I can see what it can really do. Today I got on it and I either ran out of room too quickly or wheel spin took me too far out of my lane. I guess the rear is the weak link now. I don't do any towing yet and the rear is all stock including the cover. I'm running 75-90 synthetic. Should the rear hold up? The truck has about 65,000 miles.

I was going to email you yesterday, but fell asleep early. I drove your truck yesterday afternoon and it is indeed a rocket. I only went up the street and back, but it impressed me indeed. Your rear end will hold up to the abuse, as it is one of the largest rear ends in the pickup truck industry. It feels good being "King of the Road", doesn't it? Wait until you embarass all the V8s and they catch up to you at the next traffic light and look at you like you have four heads. You'll need to feather the throttle off the line and you'll finally get the hang of getting the truck to hook up. Amazing that it is indeed the same engine, isn't it. Mine took me a three and a half year span to make that good and most of the time it was trial and error, being the test mule for Auto Wurks Diesel. You should turn some impressive 1/4 mile times with it. Best of luck to you.

I think Bertyz is on a trip to Fla. with his truck. That's why he hasn't written back. He told me he was going after Christmas a couple weeks back. As I've said, I drove it and it is a rocket. No down side to it.

I'm leaving for Florida on Friday. So far the truck is absolutely incredible. I've got my laptop and GPS so I'll be all over Florida with the truck so I'll have a lot to say along the way especially about mpg figures. Wish I had a better Fuel reading as it reads about 1/4 tank when it is really half full. My wife will not understand this and will constantly be breaking my balls to stop. hope that's my biggest problem.

My fuel gauge did the same thing on my 97. When the sender finally went bad, I tweaked the rod that the float is attached to a little bit downward and made the gauge much more accurate. If and when your sender goes bad and you bring it to us, I'll tweak yours the same.

Doesn't someone make a decent sending unit? Either new or rebuilt? Oh God she's going to torture me. How much fuel do you think I'll have when the low fuel light comes on?
 
Well as far as someone making a good one ???????????. As far as how much you have, well it'll just get worse and the best way to do it is the way you do it on a bike (use your trip for a fuel gauge and fill up when you get to a certain milage). The change really isn't that bad. I just did mine this weekend and it took about 2 hours. The part was supposed to be around 45 from the dealer but I got it for 32 because of an uncle with an account with the dealer #ad
I hope this helps at least a little.

'94, 2500, 4X4, SLT, 3. 54 gears, Prime Loc, Silencer ring in the tool box, DeeZee bright tread running boards, side box boards and mud flaps. Alpine CD player. I cleared 100K mi while the board was down. Jardine Performance 4" exhaust (sounds just like a Pete, it's great) :) Schied Diesel put timing to *15 (by timing light), put gauges in on the A pillar (trans temp, boost, and egt) They also set my stock plate up (40 hp 150 ft/lb gain) OH, what a difference a day makes :-D
 
Hello, I'm in the Ft myers area now and I wish I could stay. This place is awesome. On the way down I averaged 17 mpg. Former best was less than 15 mpg. Performance is dreamlike. The psycho is definitely not too loud. I would do it all over again. I'll be going through Tennessee on the way back so I'll have more mpg figures. Got to do something about that stupid fuel guage. It reads 1/4 tank and still has 20 gallons left

When you get a chance, call Mike with your VIN and have him order up a new sending unit and when your fuel is low enough, come in and I'll change it out for you and pull out the ball in the filler neck so you can go to the really big fuel pump at the truckstops. The repair is really a cinch to do and you'll be back on the road sooner than you think.
