"Fast and the Furious" Landscaping Style

O. k where to start. Oh yeah Guys, In my past thread (This sucks what would YOU do?) I want to thankyou ALL for helping me keep a positive attitude. Well it paid off.

I was going to update y'all last week but I was thrown into a whirlwind of work, testing, and certification renewal. I landed a job with Servpro (A disaster recovery company) as an estimator. Being I have alot (17+ years) of construction history behind me as well as structural integrity work and Mold remediation certified, I entertained the thought by submitting a resume.

Well I got a phone call and the guy was interestedand liked what he saw in my posting. With that said I went thru two interviews and landed the job!! I am making Nearly double and a half what I was before Oo. I sort of have a unique position with servpro. As an estimator (For me right now it's Mainly fire and soot damage and of course when a fire gets put out I also have the water side as well) but I will update you when I can get the facts to you straight.

So I just passed my IIRCRC s-500 test with flying coulors and am looking forward to getting master certified in all disaster categories, biochemistry, and advanced structural integridation certification.

The bad part is I am sick as hell with some sort of south ugandin flu :{ I can honestly tell you guys It is taking all my strength to type this.

So ya see it was a blessing in disguise I am finally making BANK baby!!!

Two and a half times your old pay!

Sounds like there will be some new toys in your future. Congrats and get well soon.

Greg

Chris

Don't worry TMTT your budget will grow to be equal of your income. When I doubled my income with an employer change a couple years ago, one of the first things the wife said was, "Good, I guess I don't need to work anymore!" She's still working but she also just got a new truck :{

Congratulations! 2. 5 would ROCK! It must have been hard to maintain your composure when the offer was made. Resist the temptation to send flowers to the HR ***** that fired you.

I'll be contracting back to the place that downsized me a couple months ago. I'll be making "only" 60% more but they claim to be saving big $$ by firing all the people that do the work.

I think his new "TOY" is baking right now... . :-laf :-laf

Congrats Tim !

Congrats Tim, often there IS a silver lining! And rest that Ugandin flu, I know exactly how you feel... it seems to be making the rounds here in NE. Jim G

I said it via phone and I'll type it here too: Congratulations, Timmarrrrrgh!

Matt

P. S. A gal I used to work with got canned and had some pretty good job offers in the same field recently. It's good to network and keep in touch with folks - if the manure hits the fan... it's nice to be ready.
