anybody have one???? Have they solved the issue of ammo, i. e. getting any or reloads?????? Does look very good BUT you're buying something that you had better take your Ammo with you... ... lots of luck in getting any away from a known source.....

I've shot one but didn't choose to purchase it. It has the power of the 375 H&H--maybe a wee lil better ballistics but nothing that would really make the difference between a kill or not.



The advantage to it in all reality is the power of the H&H in a smaller, lighter package. The price point is the same as a nice H&H which are relatively easy to find shells for.



The 375 Ruger could become a favorite of wildcatters, which is sort of what it is already. The folks who nit-pick for 15fps and 1/10" drops at 300 yards love this kind of stuff.



A nice rifle, but not quite special enough to be 'better' than the 375 H&H, in my opinion.

Hey I have a 375 in a Model #1.......

but this guy is available in 20" barrel of the Hawkeye Alaskan!! Man that is a short potent critter... ... probably the best "emergency" Bear Gun one could get... .

I went on gunbroker this morning and there isn't any ammo listed... the closest thing are the Hornady dies... could be a great caliber killed by logistics.

I don't think the 375 Ruger can kill anything my 375 H&H can't kill. When you have guns this big you have to practice with them. I call my 375 monster masher. I refer to my 300 weatherby as meat, it gets it on both ends.
