I just ordered one. Is the plug your talking about, the one that

comes with the (04. 5) truck?

Sam

No, its the plug that has the dodge connector on one end and the Techonsha connector on the other, so, no butt connectors or splicing needed. I think it was $7. 99 on the RVwholesale site.

White plug under dash on the far left, it's labeled trailer wiring. you have to lossen the white plug to plug controller plug in.

Do a search, lots of posts on where it's located as well as how to plug it in.

I bought it 3 weeks ago and paid;

Prodigy Brake Control by Tekonsha Quantity: 1 Item price: $ 98. 99

PRODIGYHARNESS Product: Prodigy Vehicle Specific Wiring Harness Quantity: 1 Selected options: sku: 96-8327 Item price: $ 8. 25 Total:

Delivery: UPS Ground Subtotal: $ 107. 24 Shipping cost: $ 8. 00 Tax: $ 0. 00 Total: $ 115. 24

Thanks Guys, I just bought one of these and I didn't even know I needed it until I got on here. :cool: My old one was jerky and had a short, so I guess maybe I did need a new one.

$84. 99 plus $7. 00 s&h fee = $91. 99 Sold.

Seems like I saved enough to cover my membership here. *-)

Thanks Again,

Ian

I just bought my truck used (2002) It did not come with the "plug" that is usually supplied by Dodge with the truck when new. Is this the plug you guys are talking about? It adapts the controller to the wiring under the dash? I need both it and a controller. I'd like to jump on this deal to. Thanks, Tim

TTullio,

The plug they are describing already has the correct connectors on both ends. The factory tow package comes with the Dodge connector with four bare wires and the Prodigy comes with their connector and four bare wires, manual labor required to match wires and butt splice. Not too tough, but if you have to get a Dodge plug anyway this is cheap and easy.

BTW, I just picked up my trailer and used the Prodigy for the first time, IT'S AWESOME!!

First trip this weekend to the coast (Dillon Beach, CA). Several steep windy areas, LOVE this brake controller! Thanks for the link, and again the TDR grapevine comes through... product is superb.
