Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Wrangler-TD ?

Hi... Does anyone have experience with the Good year Wrangler-TD

I have a 99 Dodge Ram 4X4 , I am looking for some good high quality tires for both on and off road that also have a long tread life.

I am looking at all brands of tires now, but I need some help.

The Wrangler TD was discontinued about 3 years ago I believe. There might be some still laying around someplace, but they might be hard to find. The best all around tires I have seen lately have been the Yokahoma Geolander AT II and Pro Comp All Terrain. I won't get a Goodyear since they are over priced and don't last as long.

Every year I put a new set of tires on the CD. Last year I put a set of "dunlop radial rover rv"on, and they have been an excellent tire off road and street. Because of the oversize (255 85r16) they are only 8ply. But they have stood up well, better than some 10 ply that I've tried.

What benhall said. Goodyear would be the last tire I would put on my truck! I had a set of Wrangler ATS's- 2 lasted 17000 miles and had to be replaced under warranty for slipped belts (I still had to pay $70/tire for a set of $680 tires 17 weeks old) and I finally gave up at 35000. Reduced gas mileage, increased road

noise, nearly impossible to balance. No off road driving so I went back to the OEM tires from Michelin. Got 80000 out of the first set.
