It was very minor, (no one hurt) but the first time I've ever hit anybody in 30+ years of driving. :{
Light rain, asphault highway, a traffic light, and a 7,000 lb truck just didn't mix well this time. As I was stopping, the ABS started raising heck and the truck took off.
I didn't even have time to steer over to that nice wide shoulder and median to my left. My wife and I were both stunned. I am a very cautious driver.
My front bumper (the chrome piece) went under the bumper of the F-150 in front of me. The painted piece above the bumper took all of the impact. The A/C condenser is pushed back 1/4 inch or so. It has a few bent fins and the intercooler has a ding, also.
So now I guess I'm in the market for an aftermarket bumper. I'd like suggestions for some economical, but well made bumpers. I just can't justify spending $1500 for one.
I'd also like some input on what possible damage I might've missed.
Here's one pic, there are more in my Reader's Rigs.
