I had a great time!

First off, I'd like to say thanks to Huckstorf Diesel for hosting this event. I think they went "above and beyond" letting people use their facilities to work on their trucks. It's nice to deal with a vendor that has been in business as long as they have, and is interested in performance upgrades and not just doing standard repairs. I think we're lucky to have a shop like this in the nearby area. They have some nice projects in the works and should do well at the local truck pulls again this year.

Next, a big thanks to Dave Shuart for setting up things and purhasing and cooking the food(which was excellent). It's nice to meet new people and B. S. with old friends. I just wish the weather would have been a little warmer. :(

I'm ready for the next oneOo. Oo.

Wrench day is over.

Big thanks to DShuart for setting this all up with Huckstorf Diesel.

Dave gets a big thanks as well for supplying and cooking the burgers and dogs as well.

Thanks to Mark from www.hdiesel.com for opening his great facility to the group.

Lots of trucks (no official count) attended, including some new and old faces.

The Ford boys showed up with some really fine looking rigs. I didn't talk to them much but they had some serious lookin' trucks. :D . IE, a lifted crew cab and a sweet Excursion that JAKEHDGMC was assisting with a meth/water system. (at least that was what I was told).

The GM's were reprsented by Mark and Al. Mark's D-Max was sounding real tough. I'm not sure of all Marks BOMBS but me being Tommytoostock sure wouldn't race him nor Al for that matter.

Hopefully everyone got something done today whether it was BS'ing or wrenching.

BTW, I saw Jtisdales's switch set-up in his overhead console and was very impressed. It was woth your time and effort Jim.

Thanks as well from the non-posting member I know that was doing gauges, he had fun and got most of his install done. Many thanks to the members that he asked questions of and got answers to. Dale( see above) was impressed by the help freely given by the members and Mark from Huckstorf. Mark and others were quick to answer questions and lend tools to the project. Big thanks from Dale.

Nixter

On edit, maybe next time I'll have some wrenching to do. I just wish I had more experience to offer the group.

Edit again because I spelled Huckstorf wrong the first time, sorry guys.

Thanks to Huckstorf Diesel for the use of their facilities.

Thanks to Dave for setting this all up and cooking a great lunch for all that attended, even the MOB members.

Nice seeing everyone again and looking forward to the next event next month.

My Co-worker learned a lot and felt very welcome by all. He's looking forward to future events. Thanks to everyone who helped in answering his questions.

Hey guys, great meeting all of you today!

Thanks to Mark and John for the shop time and Dave for the food and drink, next time let us pitch in Dave, you shouldn't have to on your own.

How come I always want to spend more money when I go to one of these gigs?! We are never done!

Hope to see all of you soon, until then, keep it between the ditches.

Mark

Great Time!

Yeah dont forget to give yourselves a big thanks. . for showing up, thats what makes a event work, participation!!. Thanks Mark and John Hucksdorf, I will second what JohnRV4 said you definately did go above and beyond. It was real nice to meet folks in person.

For work complete is as follows, please correct me if I am wrong...

DSS steering by Johnny5, Lukes Link replacement by Mike Starzman, Bearings by Matt Holeset, Power mod by Mark H, Guages by Dale, Shocks and spacers by JimT, Guage troubleshoot by Paul, Power mods by Jake on PStroker. , Soap bucket preaching by Craig, Burnt burgers by Dave:D

I plan on having something at my place in early summer so keep your ears peeled. I will post photos tomorrow. As always if ever in town and run into problems or need a place to stay feel free to call me or if ya just wanna stop and BS same thing.

Thanks again John and Mark Hucksdorf!:D

Dave

WOW!

Monster thanks to Huckstorf's for letting us own the shop for a day, and what a nice shop it is.

Big thanks Dave for setting everything up and feeding us. You did a great job with everything, and we all appreciated it.

It was cool to see the usual faces, and good to meet some new ones. Same with the trucks... especially turbojets! That thing ROCKS! :--)

And last but definitely not least thanks to Paul and Craig for all the help with my lift. I think it turned out great. I hadn't planned on putting new shocks in, but Craig surprised me with a new set of RS 9000X's. I owe you BIG TIME. Why is it I can never get even with you let alone one up on you? Thanks man, you have no idea.

Thanks Dave for the lunch. It was nice to meet some members of TDR. I was impressed with the amount of knowlwdge that the members have. I would rather have anyone there work on my truck rather than the dealer:D A few of you were asking what was in my trailer so here it is

#ad

I stoped at the grove on the way home and got my 60' foot problem sorted out, back to the 1. 45 range.

Great event!

Huge thanks to Dave for providing the chow (burgers, pus rockets, etc. ) I think some other folks brought some munchies... so that was cool too...

The folks @ Huckstorfs were really cool and they had the nicest, most well equipped shop I have ever seen. Not to mention - they had at least 15 P-7100 'bare blocks' in stock... and I was drooling all over each and every one of them.

Overall - it was a great event and I can't wait for the next one.

Matt

Me either.

I'm glad that you guys had a good time. I'm sorry I couldn't attend. But I was wrestling with an o-ringing job all day and had to finish it.

Maybe I'll make the next one. Of course that's assuming I get a GD lift pump that will work for longer than one week! (CSevers, you and I should get together over this one:mad: )

BTW, Jake99z71, did I tell you that I put down 476 HP on JK's dyno at 25% fueling? With the 1300 degree safety on? You better bring everything you got to Wausau. :D There. The gauntlet's been thrown. :-laf

I like to add my thanx to Huckstorf for opening up there shop and having us and Dave for running the show. Not to mention thanx to Dave, Mike & Nick for the help on the DSS, I haven't run it thru all the paces yet but it seems pretty good so far!!!! Altho, those big trucks are making mine look smaller everytime, I left thinking I had a 1500 2wd... . :{

I tell ya I am so bad at trying to remember everyone's name especially when I get up there on 2 hours of sleep:eek: Guess I'll eventually get to know ya'll by name.
