So to continue you with my year of broken S*#t, I found and started the major repair job of the year. It all started on Sunday afternoon when my engine started to make a loud knocking sound. I removed the oil plug to find it covered with large chunks of metal on it. After removing the pan I found very big chunks of metal in the pan, after checking things out I found that the number 1 rod was slapping around inside the piston.
After removing the rod and piston I found the wrist pin bushing was mostly gone allowing the rod to move around on the pin. luckily there was no other damage to the engine. The failure was caused by the oil nozzle getting plugged up by some thing and ran the pin dry
The oil nozzle is visible just above the counter weight
