Wrong Filter?

I just got some fuel filters from Genos for my 98. 5 12V and the filter is black unlike my old one which was brown and it doesn't come with the O-rings. the invoice said something about the old filter being discontinued but their website said that filter is only for 00's and up. Did they send me the wrong one?

I have a post on the new filters. I suspect you are using the same filter as my 99 24 valve. look it up.

Mark, Be careful. they did send me the wrong one. It was black and the same size on both ends. Mine(and yours) is bigger on the top end. I didnt find out till I had the ^^*(&^%^% apart. Lucky for me the local napa store was open. There filter looks excatly like the Genos, Good luck, Dave

Hmmm... . mine looks the same on top and bottom... esch... and I don't have the invoice to return them. . arrr...
