Jack-knife turns hard on trailer?

Bigfoot vs. Lance Campers

RWetmore,

I'm in Canton GA (~50 miles north of Atlanta). As for bombing, I'm stock except for a Power Edge EZ. I've got a Westach combo EGT/Boost gauge from Geno's that I haven't gotten around to installing yet. The EZ made an unbelievable difference in the way the truck performed, it's a he## of a lot stronger throughout the operating rpm range. I can't imagine a beter bang-for-the buck bomb. I don't have a lot of experience modifying diesels, but I can tell you that in my ~30 years experience bombing gassers (cars, boats, motorcycles) I have never achieved the kind of gains I got with the EZ without spending a whole lot more money & time. In addition, there is absolutely no downside with the EZ... driveability is not compromised at all. Others have even reported an increase in mileage with the EZ, my mileage however, did not change. Once I get the gauges installed, my next bomb will probably be injectors.

I have heard about Southern Truck Parts in

Conley, but don't have any first hand knowledge about them. Although I haven't got my gauges installed yet, I'm sure any competent shop would have absolutely no trouble fixing you up. Maybe a TDR member from your neck of the woods will see your post and volunteer to help you out. Good luck!

Since the subject of rearends was brought up I want to clarify something. The Dana 80 rearend in the 2500s is not the same as the Dana 80 in the 3500s. The 2500s use a hybrid rearend. This is a Dana 80 centersection with Dana 70 axles and tubes. Dont know why this was done but its true.
