Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) WTH a low gear 5 speed in 2nd gens?

I only ask because I saw a 94 2500 with a cummins online that had one.

The pattern looked like this

13R

The 4th gear was actually a D with an O around it for overdrive.

Same gearbox, different knob.

Slipped a gasser knob on there. IIRC, a lot of the gas engines with the 5 speeds were made that way.

It was a factory knob for a short time.
