Got this from Doc, though I would pass it along.

Carl had a triple bypass this morning and is doing well, all things considered. He will be under the weather for a few days and won't be able to take any calls. We will update again when he is up and about enough to accept your greetings. It will be rough going, for Carl, over the next few days, so please think of him often and continue your prayers.

Carl thanks you for your thoughts, concern and prayers.

Doc Tinker

Mrs Doc and I visited Carl tonight (Wednesday). He was sitting in a chair with a oxygen tube at his nose. I asked him if it was laughing gas :)

They'd just wheeled in his dinner. He sat there and ate fruit and salad, while we talked. He whispers, rather than talks, because of the vent tube that was used during the surgery.

His coloring looked normal, which lead me to think he was coming around pretty well.

He said that they might send him home in a couple of days.

Doc

We send him our prayers and best wishes. Tell him to be sure to get signed up for Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation, it can make a huge difference in the rest of his life!

Give him our prayers and thoughts

Hey Doc:

The next time you see Carl, please be sure to tell him that he is in our prayers.

Hope all turns out well.

I found out today that Carl went back into ICU yesterday. He is not doing very well, with complications from an infection and water retention.

Please continue to pray for Carl.

Doc

Mrs Doc and I just got home from visiting Carl. Carl still needs your prayers, thoughts and well wishes. He is hooked to the ventilator again and has a feeding tube. He was able to communicate by writing and he moved his hands around pretty good, motioning his intentions. He struggled with the vent a few times, trying to work against it, but we talked him into settling down and letting the vent work for him. He asked Mrs Doc to have his nurse give him something to knock him out, when we left, and I watched as the nurse gave him the shot that would put him in lala land for the night.

Sleep tight Carl.
