truck hitch electrical issues, where should i look first?

trailer wiring not working

Harvey, There is an AFB in Cheyenne with a nice quiet fam-camp. I don't remember if they take reservations, but if you don't care about hook-ups they have a lot of over flow parking.

Thanks friends. I had completely forgotten about Warren AFB @ Cheyenne.

We could get along okay without hookups. The HH has a 50 amp Onan genset.

It probably gets cool after sunset in WY even in summer doesn't it?

Harvey: If taking hwy 287 N I would get off and head for I 25 before you get into Denver. To much traffic and it will be all stop and go due to traffic lights, you will be driving through the big city.

Frontier days is great, but unless you have made reservations for anything, you will be S. O. L. even motels and campgrounds around me are filled up.

Beware of the wind. it can come out of nowhere. One time I was stopped in Rawlins getting fuel and the wind ripped the refer vent off the top of my TT.

I did get it back and after looking at it, the screws to hold it on were still in the vent along with a bead of caulk around it.

Harvey,

Here are some resources for you:
Jim Gatchell Museum in Buffalo. You will go right by Buffalo when traveling from Gillette to Sheridan. They have a nice museum and the website is very informative:
Welcome to the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum
Click on the link "Wyoming places to visit" and it has a lot of information for you. The Winchester Steakhouse is a great place to eat while in Buffalo.

Also, I highly recommend Moon's Wyoming Handbook by Don Pitcher. Amazon has it for about 16 bucks. I think it is as important to a Wyoming trip as the Milepost is to an Alaskan trip. Different format, but chock-full of information. You'll want to pick up an official Wyoming highway map. It has more detail of towns and attractions.

While in Cody, a nice road trip is the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway to its intersection with the Beartooth Highway to Redlodge, Mt. The summit is 10,947' and it has fantastic views - not a road you will necessarily want to tow over though - lots of switchbacks and hard to find a place to pull over for pictures and viewing with a large outfit. You can return to Cody by way of Belfry Mt. and Ralston, Wy. It will take the better part of a day, but well worth it.

Lots of stuff to see! Enjoy your trip.

Bud

I think somebody said something about Pinedale Wy. There is a great Rendezvous in Pinedale that period of our history has always been of interest to me. Its all in period and quite something to see (might even learn a thing or two I did). Green River Rendevoushttp://www.pinedaleonline.com/RendezvousSchedule. HTM

Harvey, if you like to look at big game heads and read the story of how the hunt went and would like a good dinner in the bargain then stop at the Holiday Inn in Thermopolis for your evening meal.

The Wind River country is really pretty in the summer.
