ok i have been on this guy for two weeks for dyno sheets and got nothing. he told me it was finallly ready to sell on dec 24 but i missed the call. I basically asked him if his results were accurate why he did crank hp testing and also if he stood behind his hp claim and i told him my dyno numbers of various runs and asked him if it didn't perform to my satsifaction was i gonna be able to get the money back.



here is an email he sent me



Dodge,GM, FORD and others represent HP at the crank.



Rear wheel numbers are not accurate due to to many variables in parasitic loses from drive train .



what year is your truck?



if it is the 600 then yes you should have approx 190-200rwhp assuming stock wheels and tires with no lift kit.



and yes we will garantee the HP... ... ... .

i in turn emailed him back saying that what i want is something in writing saying that basically he will give me my cash back if the numbers represented are not met above and beyond my stock dyno runs of which i have several. hopefully he says yes and i will get it today well at least order it today. Tell him to make it snappy too with some overnight shipping or something maybe.
 
so you see i called and it was like an oriental guy answered not the best english then he put me on hold and another oriental guy answered better english and the whole time i've been communicating with someobdy via email



has anyone used this programmer i mean not the new one but an older one for a dodge or even someone in a duramx i heard clint had a truck with this at ats. i would appreciate any feedback please
 
Skunk Oil? How do they know the different increases at the crank. Do they have a bunch of engines on stands? And an engine dyno. 98-2002 45HP and 90ft on setting two, 95hp and 90ft on setting three. Why did torque not increase on three and HP did??? On edit: They have state of the art Mustang dyno, so why will they not talk RWHP?



Why not buy an EDGE or other main stream DODGE product. That cummins is a pricey piece of hardware to screw up. If people are having trouble getting a big company like BANKS fix engines that cratered with their box, how is a little known company going to fork over the cash to fix your engine. On edit: Ok, they have been around since 1985, big on the Duramaxi.

i don't know but i called ats because i saw it at their websit and i asked them. They could only speak on the duramax since the new hot programmer just came out on dec 24. The guy said it was sick like unhealthy in a good way. Then i said so if i got it i won't be disappointed. He said no way would i be and he said i can stack it with the six gun and the speedloader. Not healthy for the opposition. I guess i'll give it a shot and be a guinea pig now if i can just find a hampster wheel
 
I second Snoking's comment. How aobut a nice new Edge Juice Oo.



If you assume a 30% loss through the drivetrain, that's only 101. 5 RWHP with this downloader. Plus no adjustability.



On the other hand, you do get a trail period and, if you do dyno, you could let us all know what you find out. :)



Personally, I think I'd be leary of putting some HP upgrade on our truck without knowing where the bump comes from. It seems too tempting to raise rail pressure to unsafe limits IMO.

If you go to the D-Max site there is a thread about these guys going on and it didn't take a turn for the good. From what I read on there I wouldn't use them.

I had thought I'd seen 600's dyno at around 260 - 270 rwhp? 125 - 135 hp driveline loss seems high to me.

well i don't know but i just talked to the guy and it seems ok to me he was knowledgable and he seemed to be very much in tune with the product so i guess after my conversation we worked out a deal on a prototype in which the only thing is the casing of the unit isn't finished but it's the program and i asked about bugs and he said they were all out. I guess i'm the dodge boy guinnes pig of world records. I meant guinnea pig for this item. I mean ats said it was bad to the bone on the dmax and no way would i be disappointed. I like that I can honestly the guy on the phone didn't sound like a swindler or a crook he sounds like a very knowledgable and informed individual. Of course if my truck blows up then i won't be saying that exactly. the good news is that it doesn't alter rail pressure one bit he said. That was like heaven sent, considering the banks is basically just a rail pressure box so there it can be he said he's stacked it with several other programmers pressure style boxs and he said that honestly he hasn't run any tests with the banks unit as the pressure box. who and what should i do with that should i ask banks or should i just plug that bad dad in with the banks off see how it goes and then turn it up halfway while idleing and then see what it does and then go for level 6 or should i shift on the fly right to 6 and see. I'm losing my mind aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh gotta go get this thing.

The same thing was said to some of us who tried a box for the 24 valves a few years back. This guy on the board had found a company called Edge and the box they made for our trucks had just come out. He said it worked good and the guys from the company seemed to know what was going on. Overall I have been quite happy with the boxes I got from them. .

ok check it out i ordered it already it'll be hear in 2 days he'll have the cash manyana and then he'll overnight. I was looking for a fleetguard filter and i had to call ats again this time i got one of the guys who put in my transmission. I got the filter info and then i asked him off the record about any xcellerator project / programmer and what his thoughts were. He said "best programmer on the market by far, as far as the gm and chevy he said he couldn't give an opinion on the dodge mod because it hasn't been where he could see it yet. He said you could even stack it with tst and edge if you wanted. I'm definitely gonna stack it with the six gun and speedloader. I can't even think properly is the mail here yet? aaaahhhhhhhhhhhh i'm ready to dyno let's get r done help me i'm losing my mind christmas after christmas for me i should've gotten it the day before i'd be dynoing now
 
ok spoke with lazer bob today and also talked to mike out of firestone he's got tst box and same turbo same fass. he has 373 injectors and i have 100 hp ats. he has the dtt and i have the ats level 5. we both have air and exhaust. I am gonna have the xcellerator by then so i will see what it does i plan on programming the truck then turning on the banks box but leaving it on setting one to see what we get. then i will run it again with the program remaining on the same level and put the banks to 3 and then i'll do the same at 6 and get those three pulls. i'm interested to see how easy this box is to stack and that too many commands don't override each other and cancel out. i guess if it's not a good stack then i can just get rid of which ever one is the weakest. Sounds like it'll be the banks.
 
ok talked to the guy today he said he got the cash and that he sent it next day fed express air which he told me he would and it was no extra charge. He wanted me to have it asap and his reasoning was because i told him that several others were interested if it does what they claimed. I will be dynoing on friday just gonna play tomorrow and i will bring the vid camera and make sure that the battery is charged i'll be posting dyno results from my vehicle friday evening. happy new year to me.
