Anybody run into any problems with these "bright white HID like" lights? Could they burn the wiring harness? I see ratings of 5000K, 6000K and some 4s, which is the safest? I want whiter light but not a roasted harness, and can't afford the old sport headlight switcheroo right now. Thanks

You probably know this already, but the K rating is refers to the color of the light, with the blue/purple at the higher numbers. I don't think that they have much to do with current draw. As the only way to color the light (with standard bulbs) is to coat the bulb, you're probably getting a lessening of the functional light as the K value goes up. I'd suggest searching the forums for Sylvania silver stars/ PIAA etc. , which are more of a white light.

I did not have any problems with current draw on system. The only problem was early failure of one of the bulbs.

I did like the lighting they provided but got the flash from on coming cars on dark roads.
