I've seen some others ask for pics before (including myself) and I finally got mine installed so here are some pics of the flares, my new 35's, and tool box.

The pics are big so I linked them incase people on dialup don't wanna see em.

Still lots of shavings in there from drill'n

I was gonna have the body shop fill that in, but wasn't sure how well the filler would hold up and forgot to ask about it completely.

Those flare look great, especially with those tires! I've been thinking of picking up a set.

Would it be possible to get a shot of the whole truck from a bit further back. I'd like to see how the tool box looks in the short bed. Maybe a 3/4 shot. If not, no worries.

Truck looks great!

Wow:eek:

Those look great!!! I've been looking and just havent found a set that looks right with these trucks... but I think I've found a set now! :D

Yes, I'll get some profile and 3/4 shots today. The tool box is a UWS BTW.

I really like the flares and how they turned out. I was afraid they would stick out too far past the tires and I'd have to buy some rims w/ more offset, but they look fine for now.

FYI for anyone that might get these, the finish from the factory is kind of streaky so you will most likely want to paint them. I wasn't gonna do mine but after seeing them brought them down to the paint shop. To minimize chipping I had them spray the underside of the flares all the way around w/ "chip guard" and you can't hardly even tell it's there.

The MT's actually suck in stock form on ice and hard pack snow, but I had mine siped at a local truck shop and the last set I had on my 98 worked great like this.

That's exactly the style and fit I've been looking for. I could also do without the permanent advertising though.

I know it varies, but how much to get them painted?

CIverson ???? for you

After the 2" coils on the front, any problems rubbing the tires???

FYI On my stock 3500 i have the same tires bfg mud 37" tall tires mounted on the stock rims. And just so happens that the truck gott bottomed out on the bump stops yesterday and nothing rubbed!!!!!!!

The reason i ask is that as you know without droping the radius arms, the tire moves rearword as you go up in lift!!!!

ken

It cost me 90 bucks to have them painted.

As for the tires. absolutely no rubbing. They are 35" though not 37's like you mentioned.

Yes I know well what goes on with the suspension. My last truck had 8" of lift and 38's.

The 2" lift doesn't move the wheels back very much at all and I still have alot of clearance. One thing to remember is that as the suspension compresses, the axle returns to center in it's travel, So if you get longer arms you need longer bumpstops so the suspension dosen't travel too far forward and miss the stop.

those xenon flares look awsome. i had a set of them on my 97 tahoe and the had a very nice profile [sorta like factory, but came out an extra inch] and i liked them. the fit was ok, but not bad. i did leave them black though... if i get some of these for my 04, i'll probably have to paint them body color, or if black looks good on it, maybe have them sprayed with a spray liner?

Do they come black?

How much of the road spray do they stop?

I was going to go with the Warn 4x4 flairs because they have a wider bottom (like a mud flap) on the front and rear. I don't really like to have an extra mud flap over the flair.

But those look great!

Yes they come black. I don't know about the roadspray yet as I just installed them yesterday, but my tires dont' stick out past the flares so I would imagine very little.

I plan to add some mud flaps to help keep spray off the rockers
