Is anyone using this? How do you like it? I can't stand Commercial Radio with all the talk, commercials, and poor programming.

I have XM and I have tried Sirrius. For my purposes, I really enjoy them and feel they are worth the monthly fee. HOWEVER, I thought they'd be commercial free (and "technically" I believe one of them is). BUT, they have so many internal commercials about their other stations (i. e. a plug for their Jazz channel, and a plug for their Kids channel, etc. ), that it doesn't really feel commercial free.



But again, I really enjoy being able to listed to the Fox News Channel, CNN, sports channels, etc. rather than the offerings on the local radio.



Overall, I highly recommend it.

I have had X-M for almost a Year now. I don't even listen to FM any more. I have over 100 stations at my disposal, so I can listen to whatever I want whenever I want. The coolest thing is when I'm traveling cross country, I don't have to search for new stations. I wouldn't give it up for nothing.

I just recently installed XM also. I like it too. Especially if you are always changing the style of music you want to hear like me.

Did ya'all add it to your existing stereo receiver ie. stock one or buy a new stereo reciever that was already compatable?? and what are the start up costs associated with each way.

I bought a Sony XM receiver that connects to the existing radio with a cassette adapter. I found it on eBay, brand new, for 190. 00. Costs 9. 99 to get turned on by your PC, or 14. 95 by ph. , then 9. 99 per month. Works great. One that connects to your radio by FM (wireless) was about 60. 00 more.

I would not recommend anyone using either a cassete or FM modulated connection. The sound quality will be limited to as good as a cassete or FM. What the XM can deliver is CD quality or better, so drop the money and buy a new head unit that is XM equiped, as a plus you will also get a CD player that doesnt suck like the Chrysler one.

Does anyone know if you can get just one subscription and run multiple radios off of it? I have three truck for various uses and also have my volvo and have been very interested in xm but am afraid I wont be able to have it in all my vehicles unless I buy multiple subscriptions? Thanks Seth



Plus I have to admit it would be nice to have in the house too. And how does the subscription work?

You have to have subscription for each receiver, thats why I got the Sony, just get an antenna for each vehicle, and move receiver from veh. to veh. , or in house, you need ant. , and AC power supply.
