How many have installed the XMonitor? I am thinking of purchasing one for my truck and wanted to know how you guys are liking it? Does anyone have a pictures of it installed? How is the fit? I have herd that it has a slight pointed down angle?? Any info would be appreciated.

I was hoping to find some pictures of it installed that would better show how they look than the small pic on the site. Also wondering how the universal mount looks. I would think we have at least some members that have it installed.

When I last looked into the X-Monitor, BD chose to ignore the 94-98 crowd to please the new "03 crowd. They did not have a mount yet and I haven't looked back after choosing something else.

Love it. I disagree with the statement concerning readability. You must interpolate gauges. The X Monitor is an instant read, no interpolation required. The numbers are easily read. I look at one gauge and see all three conditions.

The price should be close to three separate analog gauges. The mount is part of the gauge face, and it does tilt a little down and to the right, but not much. With my ATS torque convertor and lockup controller, towing 9000 pounds, I control the overdrive by watching EGT. When it begins to rise, I shift out of OD. The X Monitor is a good system in my opinion.

Ron- you're a better man than I when it comes to gauges. I'm much more comfortable with the position of a needlel I know that in about this much more travel I have to do something, rather than this many more numbers that correlate to degrees. That's what makes life interesting. I work in a room full of gauges and digital read-outs. There is a tendency to BELIEVE a number when it spits out to the hundredth of a degree, just because it's there. When things get interesting, a quick glance across gauges will show one needle not tracking the others. Doesn't apply in this situation, but that's where I'm coming from.

Guys, Thanks for all the responses. This is good information. I just want to be sure this is what I want before actually ordering it. When you spend this much money on a truck you want everything to be done just right!

OL Ron, or anyone else, Do you have any pictures of your xmonitor that you can post?

Thanks again

Frank

Grunt, Thanks for the thread. The pictures of the xmonitor looks great! Looks like I will have to be ordering one soon!

Ol Blue just installed my x-monitor last saturday. . I love it!! It has three levels of lighting and you can set your visual alarm limits to suit your needs. It is spendy though
