Speaker sales in parking lots?

Remembering Nowel [HVAC] Thomas

I was installing some app the other day & there was a comment. The comment said the app wouldn't work with service pack 2.

I haven't installed it yet ... anyone know what up with service pack 2? Is it "good to go" or "stay away"?

thanks,

Forrest

Whatever you do DO NOT install it online if you do install it. Get a CD copy of it and install it that way. If something happens to drop your net connection or interrupt the install it can lock you out of your PC such that you have to reinstall Windows to recover. I've had it happen to a number of clients and it's cost them a good penny. My recommendation is to hold off yet on SP2 - there still seems to be a few bugs in it.

I definitely agree with you Steve. I had it installed on my home PC for about 2 days. Uninstalled it and fixed what it broke. I would stay away from it for a while.

If you have spyware on your computer, the install may not go smoothly. Download and run Ad-Aware(free) before you do the upgrade and it should go OK.

I stayed away from it until a couple of weeks ago - downloaded and installed it while online - no problems to date - I sure do like this hi-speed DSL - took about 10-15 minutes to download about 19 mbyts of upgrade! ;) :D

I had mickeysoft mail me a CD (free). I installed it when I had a break in the action about 2-weeks ago. No problems yet. The built in pop up blocker in IE is handy and I'm not getting the little message telling me there are updates available. Otherwise I don't see the difference.
