I went to the Xtreme Diesel Performance event over the weekend up in Wall, NJ. I met a great bunch of guys and had a great time…. good food also!
They had a dyno there and were giving out prizes for the greatest increase over stock numbers. Having a stock truck I know I wasn't going to win anything but thought it would be fun to see what a STOCK 600 would pull. I asked for a printout but they said it would take too much time to print out every pull so here are the max numbers at the rear wheels:
262 HP
502 TQ
Pretty good for a stock truck. They estimate a 25% power loss going through the drive train. So, at the flywheel thats a calculated 349 HP and 669 ft-lbs TQ. That's much higher then what DC states so…. . I wonder if the 25% rule is accurate. Still... . my stock numbers were higher at the rear wheels then some bombed earlier Dodges that attended the event! Oo.
