I went to the Xtreme Diesel Performance event over the weekend up in Wall, NJ. I met a great bunch of guys and had a great time…. good food also! :)

They had a dyno there and were giving out prizes for the greatest increase over stock numbers. Having a stock truck I know I wasn't going to win anything but thought it would be fun to see what a STOCK 600 would pull. I asked for a printout but they said it would take too much time to print out every pull so here are the max numbers at the rear wheels:

262 HP

502 TQ

Pretty good for a stock truck. They estimate a 25% power loss going through the drive train. So, at the flywheel thats a calculated 349 HP and 669 ft-lbs TQ. That's much higher then what DC states so…. . I wonder if the 25% rule is accurate. Still... . my stock numbers were higher at the rear wheels then some bombed earlier Dodges that attended the event! Oo.

Power Loss

I'm not sure, but I don't think the 25% rule applies to the 6-speeds.

I think I saw a number more in the 15-18%.

NJ, I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend that dyno. I would have liked to have met you and dynoed my truck. I had a prior commitment, and was out of town.

Good numbers for your 600.

Highest hp number was a 24valve dodge, 425 at the wheels. Highest ford was 409hp. It was nice to have a diesel event in central nj. Thanks to the crew at xtreme diesel!

NJ T, If they are going to do it again please PM me. It would have been interesting to see the low hp of the day ... . my stock '94. :-laf

Scott... it would have been fun to see each others trucks as well. I'm sure they'll be more events in the future where we can all get together! ;)

HPagel... I heard about the event through a friend that works for a local radio station. It was fun to see and meet other enthusiasts from the area. :)
