just sold a set of jammer 5's for an 01, with a new inj. pump. egt's will reach 1600 in 2nd gear, no load. before jammers, egt's would be 1300 max under load @ highway speeds with bullydog power enhancement. I know these injectors are too big for a stock turbo, but i've never seen these temps at such a low speed. owner said there were no boost leaks, clean filters, etc. i've never had a bad experience with any edge product, but could one be hung open? 01 6sp 4x4 single cab, welding bed, 200k

I would think if one was stuck open you would get smoke at idle and a rough idle. what converter is in the truck? with a loose converter and 120's in my truck I couldnt get over 1200 but about . 5 seconds into lockup and the pyro was pegged. it has a lot to do with the amount of load on the engine when you see those egt's. also even though most people think everthing is ok, checking the manifold for cracks is never a bad idea

Something ain't right. 1600* in 2nd? I've got Jammer 4's in my HO and they will get hot in the higher gears if I'm hard on it, but not in 2nd. 2nd gear should wrap out so quick you don't have time to make EGT.

What turbo is on it? What box(es)?

sorry for the long wait- got them pop tested ranged from 4000-4500 psi. all of them looked clean EXCEPT #6 wished i had a cam phone. It had about 1/16" of carbon buildup over the intire injector. I'm quite certain that there was an issue with the connector tube (didn't get it sealed against the injector, leaked fuel into head and thru valves). at least that's what i think when i saw 2 to 3 ounces of raw, unburned fuel blowing out of the poorly tapped egt probe upon startup. I told him to park it at the time of my first post, but he proceeded to drive it till last week. He is now ****** cause he washed out a cylinder
