I love my stacks but sometimes it would be nice to turn the volume down( like when I'm on the phone). So I'm looking for an electronically controlled y pipe to where I can divert the exhaust thru the stacks or thru a muffler. Anybody, know where I can buy one or how to Fab one up?

yes sir... ... . i hate to be overly needy..... but i was hoping that i could find a y that would either divert the flow one way or the other. the link you sent me would work great but it would require two of them which gets kinda spendy. if that's what it takes and thats the best option then so be it. but if i can accomplish the same thing for less that would be optimal. is it possible that with two of these (one for each side of the y pipe) so that one could be open and one completely shut off it could act as an exhaust brake. not for us while driving etc, but just for warming the truck up when its cold out?

inboard boats use a system your looking for. there either called 'quick and quiet' or 'captians choice'. simple operation. works on a magnetic pull servo. i belive they ar 4 inches and up. look on ebay for a used one.

there was just a truck in diesel power magazine that had a stack that was retractable and also a rear exhaust. switched between the two with a diverter like what you want. really neat.
