I finally got the nerve to do 4wd launches again at the drags weds night and along with no breakage managed to get in the 12's barley but in the 12's. I love it. You should have seen the looks on peoples faces. :):)

Way to go !!!!!!!!!!!

Nice Job Adam :D

You are making the TDR guy's very happy

Keep up the good work, lookout 11's Adams on the way :)

RIGHT ON!!! :D

Congratulations Adam nice job. Wish I coulda been there to view the feat. Looks like I'm slow #2 man in the bay now:) I won't be able to give you any competition until this auto transmission is working properly.

Looking forward to Hilmar pulls next weekend. CSutton is back on the road and it's time to stuff some gassers!:)

Ok,,Since nobody has asked this yet Adam I WILL,,Are you sure you didn't have HVAC's red rocket strapped to the truck to control ALL that FAT HP you 4x4 can dish out???,,Hope somebody got a UNTOUCHED video or photo that shows the REAL story,,Seriuosly, great times for the truck and decent mph too,,NICE JOB!!!!!

Propane Systems

Hey My6EatsV8's, thanks for the mention in your sig:)

Your not running that Brand X propane system still are you?:) I'm working on a second generation propane system that you might like. Once I get it working on my truck maybe we can dyno it at RPM?

Hey there Stefen, you guys have fun back in Muncey? I'm not sure what the 1/8 times were because they didn't have the timer working.

I may give it a go again tonight:) I gave it a little more air:) so I want to see what it'll do now.

You're killing me!!!

Good job buddy, and you raised the bar once again. That was still on the 35's right? I got 14. 03 on the good ole #2, so 12. 995 is the new goal eh? Stefan will be there soon, and I saw some u-boat German thing blow a turbo around the 900 ft area and still run an 11. 53 @69 mph!

Hey Adam, nice job!! Did I read on another thread that you switched out your manual transmission for an auto?? If so, who's building an auto that will stand up to that kind of hp & torque? We see trannys fail occasionally in our plowing business (not nearly as often as the bowtie stuff) and are looking for enhancements to "bullet-proof" our drive trains.

Thanks

Andy

The grenaded HX40

Yep, that was supposed to be my first event as pilot of the Auto Wurks U-96. transmission didn't come back from BD in time for testing and tuning of my reflexes though. The turbo grenaded right around the 1000 foot mark and she coasted through the lights at 11. 53 seconds at 69 mph. I got the whole thing on video until I dropped the camera when the turbo let go. Time to move up to either twins or a single H2E and let the auto transmission spool it up at the line with a little help from a 120 jet of NOS.

ya hoo, I just got home from the drags again, I ran once.

I ran a 12. 670@104. 643:):):)

I changed only the nos jet from last week, I went from my 43 to a 73. My 60 foot time went from best of 1. 76 last week to 1. 703 on my run today :) and I forgot to take it out of 4wd so I can best my mph by at least another 1 or 1. 5, and who knows, a little more "air" might be in order again. LOL

to answer above questions, no not just on #2=+No2+LPG

the transmission is a BD auto with the X converter, I'm still waiting for my "race" converter from them.

Stefen, you really need to take care of my bros problem, contact me via email

have a great day guys. :)

120 JET!!!!!????!!!!

WOW, that's a big jet. My buddy that was there is running a single H2E with a 53 jet spooling it! That's a good route. I do the dual stage turbos for streetability only.

big as a fuel line

Yeah, Mike and I stopped at the local Hot Rod Shop to fill our NOS bottles and we got into the conversation of jets. The guy took out a box of assorted jets and the biggest one was a 120. It looked like it was the inner diameter of a fuel line. You can see clear through it. So we bought it and tried it out. I'm still cleaning the shrapnel from the firewall insulation. Gotta find a turbo that can handle that rush.

chris you need to realise that you dont' have to rely only on the turbo if your going to intraduce all that air, waistgate the thing to 40 psi like mine to make it live, then get all the air you need from nos. You guys will be much happier that way, so will your intercoolers, truck, checkbook..... Besides, I don't have to tell you that there is no such turbo(singe) that will do what your asking it to or do I. Use the waistgate. period. @ 41psi boost hx40 are spinning 130000rpm, just think how fast your race truck is spinning at 60+psi boost with nos to boot.

I'm only using a 73 jet now, I had very little smoke even compaired to running the 43. The 43 jet made 60hp on the dyno so I don't know what the 73 will do on the dyno.

wastegated for a year

We've been wastegating the racer's turbo for over a year now. The problem was that we hit the button as the turbo was at full kill, and Mike said the power made the tach go from 2500 to 4000 rpm instantaneously. He is a certified turbocharger and turbine specialist. He believes this was too much for the shaft. We're gonna institute the progressive nitrous system and use a 30 psi pressure switch to kick it off so that the engine won't stall at the line.
