just fill up at the truck stops... there is 10-12 fuel stands there and they are all diesel...

but i get green, blue, black, red, yellow colored handle covers at different fuel stations.

No. I had never seen the sign. Or a yellow fuel can.

I was trying to delete the post before the "stupid light" went on.

After some research, I guess it's the standard. I thought it was green.

I am now educated. But I can't find the 2. 5 gal military jugs in yellow.

I just got the blue kerosene cans. I don't have anything kersone so I don't have to worry about crssing something

I was warned by a fire man once about putting diesel in a blue container. He said it must be yellow.

Red for gas - blue for kerosene - yellow for Diesel.

Now, if the pumps get it correct we would have fewer incorrect fill ups.

Can Colors

Unfortunately the color cans are for less that intelligent consumers. I have a friend who uses a kerosene construction heater and an employee picked up a RED can of 100LL aircraft fuel from his hangar area where the employer had the yellow kero can. The employee took the can to a job site and was about to fill the heater when the crew leader saw him about to fill the heater with the gas. That would have been a short day on the job if the fill was completed.

Since my wife cuts the grass, I had to specifically tell her to leave the yellow can alone.

Side note: For some reason, If you get a zero radius mower, someone who never liked to cut the grass suddenly do. I think it was a great investment.
