Finally it's out!!! I've been looking for this flick on DVD forever it seems. Saw ti today at WallyWorld and snatched it up pronto!!!
John Milius wrote and directed it. Brian Keith plays Teddy Roosevelt, Sean Connery is Risuli the Magnificent, defender of the faithful and Candice Bergen wields a mean Model 97 trench gun.
And yes, we offend the French and the Germans in this one too.
This is a very prophetic flick in many ways. Released in '75.
Pay close attention to Roosevelt's talk with the reporters after shooting the grizzly in Yellowstone. Again, so very prophetic.
This isn't a movie for anile hand wringers.
