Yet Another Air Box Question

Hello all, I know these are being covered to death here lately, but was just curious if anyone has done the mod like in issue 50 of the TDR, but taken it further and routed it to where the factory fog lights are housed?

Also, any first-hand information on the latest "no oil" filter offerings especially UNI, True Flow, AEM, and Donaldson would be appreciated.

I just installed that cold air intake described in the issue but didn't use the 90* like it recomended as that would seem to bring alot of unwanted road mess up there. I have fog lights so your suggestion wouldn't work for me. The ABS pipe was a little tricky to get in the right place but after heating it with a torch while the pipe was resting in a metal rain gutter, it fit pretty good. I use the Amsoil drop in filter. In stock form my filter minder would suck down half way. Now it doesn't move at WOT. At idle I can put my hand over the 4" ABS and feel the air rush by.
