One of the check valves in my lift pump failed the other day, so it was time for a replacement pump. Went to the local Cummins dealer, got the pump home, and was disappointed to see that the 90 degree elbow threaded into the old pump used a larger thread diameter than the new pump, which came without an elbow, also the upper fitting, running from the filter head to the lift pump was taller, forcing me to bend the steel line in order to make it work. I didnt have time to take the pump back and check to make sure it was the right one because the truck HAD to be on the road the next morning, so its on and pumping.....
Did I get the wrong pump from Cummins, or is there a different elbow and steel line I can buy? Thanks.
