I picked up this post over on the Diesel-Central site. Looks like the folks on the TDR are just a bunch of know-nothing yokels.
"Scotty, I agree with your claim of no power increases with exhaust and air cleaner mods but took the politically correct way out and didn't say it. If you make that kind of statement over on the TDR and there are many folks who take offense. One thread over there which gets me is the one about the "big honkn air filter". If I remember right, there's been a few members who actually swapped out the K&N 0880 for that over-grown paper filter. Many have even paid more for it than the reusable K&N would have cost. Then there was another thread by someone who wanted to put on dual 0880's because one filter wasn't enough, besides all the numerous threads on how much faster spoolup and acceleration people are getting with a 4" exhaust vs stock. Makes no sense to me, except that many members who've really got good knowledge hardly post there any more. "
