I'm looking for feedback on Yokohama AT/AT+2 tires. I'm curious about what kind of wear and performance people are getting from them. I tow a 10 - 12,000 lb gooseneck trailer pretty regularly so I'm looking for something that will last. Although most sizes in this tire only carry a D load range rating, the maxuimum weight capacity is pretty high - over 3,000 lb per tire. Thanks in advance for any input.

I've had them on a Suburban and now bought some for the Dodge. They seem to be wearing good (Got about 10,000 on them) and do good in wet & snow. I just don't know if I would go with them towing heavy like you are. I tow about twice a month is all at 8k lb. I do have a cousin that works for Yokohama and I get them at a Killer Price, but I could tell when I went from 235/85/16's E to 265/75/16's D. The D' range seems a little squirmier than the E's up here in the mountains of VA.

Craig,

I just went from BFG 285/75/16D all terrains to Nitto 305/70/16E all terrains. They have a 3525lb. capacity and so far I like them a lot. If you are interested I can get you a good deal right here in Acton at Affordable Tire. They are the same diameter as the BFGs but 1 inch wider. I checked pricing on the internet and at several shops from the San Fernando Valley to Lancaster and got the best price right here in town. Let me know if you are interested and if I can help.

I had 'em for about two weeks..........

on a 2001 SRW F350 CC 4x4 Powerstroke. Hated them from the beginning. Way too mushy, even maxed out on air.

Nice looking tire, though, would probably work great on a lighter vehicle.

They are great tires but I would be careful, you are pulling a large load. As stated Nitto's make a great tire in E range. I have some 265/75-16E and love them, great in all conditions! I got my at Discount tire $528. 00 out the door!

Thanks for the input guys. What do any of you know about the wear characteristics of the Nittos. I think I would be interesed in the 285/75/16. Are all of the sizez in the Nitto load range E?

Hey Bob, are you going to be around this weekend. I'd like to have a look at the tires on your truck. Also, I ended up with a Classic brand 3 horse slant with living quarters. All aluminum and seems very well built. Only used it once so far but was very happy with it.

Thanks guys.
