i'm working on putting together my onboard air system and i have two york model two ten compressors, both with double v-groove pulleys, and both have working clutches. i noticed one of the two compressors had refridgerant in the oil when i drained it. is this indicative of a problem internally?

No this is not an indication of a problem. When used in an air conditioning roll there is a passage from the front bearing to the inlet side of the pump so the oil and coolent mix. When converting you have to put a plug (10-32 set screw works) to keep the pump from sucking up all of the oil.

IF memory serves this compressor will put up about 12cfm around 2000rpm and will easily overrun an impact gun in constant use.

This was a very common addition in the 4x4 world when trucks had enough room under the hood to have one.

I put one on my '01 and I've added one to my '11. Both of them I designed and built the mounting brackets.
