Torque Wrench Question

Amsoil and Vehicle Warrantys

"If you are apathetic enough to continue going like sheep and spending you hard earned dough buying these trucks at a dealer and company that could care less... than go do it. I have done it twice within the last 6 months and will not do it again. "

THEN, I assume your NEXT new truck will be a GM or Ford - because THEY "listen" better, reward your suggestions and concerns - and build a product that performs better and outlasts a Dodge?

What BETTER truck in the Dodge/Cummins class exists that YOU would prefer to spend your $$$ on, and is backed by a company the listens better than DC has?

I'm here to LEARN, and help fellow Dodge enthusiasts like me - because I like my truck and other members - not because I expect any "reward"! MY reward is if I am able to actually LEARN something of value here, or help another to do the same - I don't expect the TDR or DC to start sending me checks...

(But a new Con OFE from SBC WOULD be nice... ) ;) :) :)

The Dodge dealer is still treating me poorly, example... they lost a keyfob during a service visit and refused to replace, they left the diff plug out and refused to drain and replace fluid, the promised 2 years of free oil changes when I bought the diesel in September and still have not mailed to me, cup holders that rattle, side window air noise. . etc... the dealer is at least consistent, we can't help you sir!

They're taking you for a schmuck. They probably laugh at you after you walk out the door. It's time suck it up and get what you deserve. You need to become confrontational.

My dad taught me when I was a little kid "You better take up for yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you"

With only 17 posts you are quick to judge. Have you ever read or even looked at your TDR book we get quarterly?

Dodge has spent money in advertising in TDR.

Cummins has also spent money in advertising in TDR.

Bosch also has spent money in TDR for advertising.

Years ago they sponsored some of the big events. One being May Madness. Cummins invites the TDR gang to tour the engine building facility.

Do you think Cummins learned how to make an engine from us. I don't think so. They have been around longer than my grandpa. How many people here have a truck making 325/600 and can pass emisions in California?

We are the real world in the dicusion forums. I'm hoping like every one else that they are listening to us. What good is a product if you don't care about the customer. Especially when the competion is quite fierce.

This is the world we live in. You want perfection out of people and it's not going to happen.

Look around and you won't see perfection anywhere in any forum of the world and you're asking it from your dealer.

Yeah it's aggrevating and it's a pain in the ass.

You could just lock yourself up in your house.

I didn't think this would warrant starting a new thread, but it seems like it fits in this thread. Has anyone else noticed the new survey about people like us? Read about it here.

Or, cut and pasted here:

Enthusiasts Steering U. S. Market

A select group of "alpha car buyers" have incredible influence over the American automotive market, according to Forrester Research, Inc. These automotive enthusiasts may not necessarily be in the market themselves all that often, but they are "clearly influential" in the buying decisions made by their friends, neighbors, and family, explained Forrester Senior Analyst Mark Dixon Bunger.

Twenty-one percent of the folks Forrester surveyed described themselves as enthusiasts, with nine percent checking the box for "strong enthusiast. " The new research found these alpha buyers are far more likely to not only keep up on what is happening in the automotive market, but also to tell everyone else willing to listen. In turn, the study showed that 67 percent of North American car buyers say advice from friends is somewhat to very important in their own purchase decision.

Alpha car buyers are not only interested in autos but are, in general, what can be called "technology optimists," said analyst Bunger. They are far more likely to go to automotive Web sites than the general car-buying public. While they are less sensitive to vehicle price, alphas are also more savvy about how to find the best incentives and other deals. Since Alphas are the source of much of the buzz about the market's hottest products, savvy automakers "have to get good at spotting these alphas," emphasized Bunger. Chrysler Group marketing guru Julie Roehm agreed, adding that talking "to this category of buyer is important to us in terms of (influencing) taste-makers and trend-setters. "

Incidentally, one surprise uncovered by the Forrester study was the fact that enthusiasts can be found in just about every demographic category, age, income, education, marital status. The big exception is gender. Only 26 percent of those who categorized themselves as enthusiasts were female - 11 percent of all those surveyed. But Bunger said he suspects that number has likely been growing over the years. -Paul A. Eisenstein

Ok if they are monitoring this take this you screwed up with the Mega cab it is to big I want a 4-door long box dually 4x4 with 4doors the size of the competition. They made the cab so big it will never come with a long box. They would have to create a new platform to have the long box option and because of limited manufacturing capacity they would have to create a new platform. Either a whole new cab without the extension or a longer frame which would need it's own zip code. Until they get it right I'll keep driving my 97. This really did T me off I've waiting for Dodge to come out with a real 4-door and they come out with this.

Hello DC. Hello Cummins. Make the door hinges stronger. More comfortable seats would be nice. Hurry up with the 1/2 ton diesel that approaches 30 mpg (I like mpg, power second). DON'T go with a v8 heavy duty.

Thank you for listening.

Do you have an super sized VANITY MIRROR?

You probably don't understand the ideas of "Pay It Forward". How about a little more sharing and a little less ME, ME, ME.

Nine out of ten buyers would probably prefer manual hubs. Sure cure for the "vibes" and premature wear of front suspension components. Dodge, are you listening?
