Well I was driving with the wiffer today and she asked if I could quiet the cab down.
And I said yes I need to buy some of that stuff they sell at the car radio store called doynomatt(I think that's the name?) Any way that stuff is expensive so I went home thinking oh well I like the way my truck sounds and she doesn't need to ride in it!!!
YA RIGHT!!! Well I had so left over padding for the Pergo floors I installed a few months ago, well it looks a lot like the stuff the radio store sells minus the adhesive backing. So I thought I'd buy some 3M adhesive spray in a can and WA LA we got a cheap copy!!! So I pulled every thing out of my truck, every thing, seats front and rear and the carpet, then cut the padding called Silent Step, cut it to fit. I then cut a piece to fit the rear wall of the cab use a lot of the adhesive spray to keep it there then I use the adhesive to hold the padding down on the floor cutting to a clean nice fit the restalling the carpet the seats and enjoy! Total cost $81. 00, $68. 00 for the padding at Home Depot and $13. 00 for the adhesive. It worth the time and money I think!
