Towing with Edge Comp

Arctic FoX Trailers

The word of the day for me is PRODIGY Brake Controller (I am not, and have no connection to a dealer). Just wanted to share my experience in the hopes it might serve to enlighten others. Was running a Kelsey for my 24' TT. Got my self a 29' 5ver (8500# dry). Made the mistake of transferring my Kelsey controller from my Jeep to my CTD. Went on vacation to Vancouver BC little while ago. Whole town is built on hills. My Kelsey didn't slow me properly, would lock up my trailer brakes on stutter bumps and sometimes if I stoped hard and locked up I would have to back-up a few feet to release trailer brakes. Pretty scary and unsafe. Got Prodigy installed today. Damn, what a difference!!! Smooth, easy to setup, set and just forget about it, and gets the job done right. So much more peace of mind already. If you are towing, do yourself and others a favour and invest an extra $75 for a good contoller, Prodigy or Jordan appear to be both top-rated. Just MHO. :)
