I can't believe with all the aftermarket parts for these trucks... nobody makes poly mounts for them. But I can get them for a Plymouth Horizon 2. 2L???

what mounts are you talking about??? motor mounts, or transfercase mounts??? there are poly transfercase mounts out there, i just ordered a set. i have yet to find poly motor mounts tho.

Motor mounts. I've got a 2WD. As popular as they are... and as much torque as they produce... and as many performance vendors making everything under the sun... its looks like we've found a very important thing thats been overlooked.

lets all email or call johnny spiva and beg him to make them. i bet if we really made an effort to ask him, i mean more than a dozen of us or so, he probly would realize there is a market for them and start making some... . we just need to rally enough guys to convince him of it.

WHOSE IN???

You guys intersted in poly mounts ?

Yes im running the poly mounts on my gen 1 truck i have been for almost 2 years they work great buy them , im not shure on the engine mounts id assume they would but when you assume you know the results Benney Hill described the definition the best years ago on his show . So on the engine mounts im not shure the transmission mounts buy them there working with my nv4500 conversion .

When i met with Johnny , he said hejust had not tried it yet on his gen 1 is all , but if you look up the part numberall rubber mounts take the same partnumber of the round donut style mounts . GMtakes the same donut style ones and you can buy those as well from the other guys

yeah i went to the site and sent a direct e-mail and never got a responce ... . unless it went in my bulk mail box and i delieted it

as i understand it the only difference between the diesel mounts and the gas mounts are the thickness ... ... . i am just going to buy a set of the gas engine ones and make a 1/8 inch plate the same size as the mount itself and use it as a washer

Mopar Tim... are you talking about the thickness as in overall thickness... or the thickness of the plate steel used to make the metal parts of the mount.

its the actual over all thickness of the mount, but the foot print is the same size, i have not done it yet and will probably be a while till i do ... . but for now thats the plan, at least till i come up with something else

and in all honesty there is probably enough play in the mounts that you could use the gas engine ones as is
