Lol

:-laf How are the egt's? Does it work????????????????????????? I had to take mine off due to the fact that I put twins on. I sure miss it, but I think it was worth the extra power. :D I will get a remote mount sometime in the future.

I would think the spring is there to keep the raincap from slapping. Although I don't know why one would use such a heavy looking spring for that. Personally, I hate hearing raincaps slapping.

Travis. .

the spring was the experimental exhaust brake. i wanted to see if it would help warm-up. it doesn't. but about an hour after i put the cap on, i welded a bolt with a piece of rubber glued to the head on the backside of the flapper strap. that works great (no more clanking). and it's held up a lot longer than i expected (it's been on for almost a year).

edit: stomp, are you still running 4"?

Yeah its 4". Its actually 5" off the bottom turbo then the 4" downpipe is flared out to connect to the 5" piece. Then it is 4" all the ay back. I wish I could have 5" all the way, but the transfer case gets into the way.

i'm open to idea's. i'm thinking that some snug brass bushings will be the first attempt. i'm also thinking that leaks shouldn't be too much of a problem since the holes are behind the shut-off. ??? i haven't had a chance to actually hold a brake and get a good look at it though. we'll see. any input would be appreciated. :)
