Here's a couple more pictures, of a Ghost Town in Eastern Oregon...
this town is called Whitney. It was a logging and railroad town. At one time, a narrow gauge railroad ran through here, hauling passengers, logs, and lumber, and this was a service point for the railroad.
The two pictures show the remains of the mill house and the remains of the town. As you can see, some people DO live here, but it's pretty quiet these days, with almost no evidence of the railroad or the big logging operation, which used the railroad to transport the logs out of the woods, still remaining.
