Hollywood and the media make strange bedfellows and the crap they come up with about snipers/special forces are very seldomly disputed for many reasons. Unfortunately one or the other strikes a patriotic tune and starts these fish stories that grow out of proportion, and because they come to us in an "almost" real form we are quick to believe in them. Ask yourself this " Has the media ever been 'imbedded' with any branch of any special forces?"
