What did you replace them with?? a comp?? If so do you notice any differences other than adjustability. I have a EZ and regular PE now and thought about chaning to the comp. A respectable hot rodder told me not to bother as the hp gains were not there to justify the cost of replacment.

John, they have not been replaced yet. I am thinking about a DD UFM but will probably just go with LARGE injectors and the TTPM. The TST PM3 will get some consideration too. For me the 5 level against 3 level arguement is null, just more buttons to push. The smoke control would be nice, but the right foot can do that pretty well too. I have heard that the hot PE and EZ combo makes more power than the Comp, but I have seen nothing to back that up at all.

A COMP will actually make slightly less hp then the EZ/Hot PE combo. However the COMP will shine with the adjustability, and the smoothness of the power application. You can see which one I run... ... .

Kat - I agree that it is a nice unit and probably works better (adjustability wise and power application wise) but I could not justify taking the hit on selling the EZ and PE and then buying another $$$$ box to replace them. When the Comp came out it was $799 and I would be lucky to get that much out of my two boxes or resale. Since what I have makes real good power I saved the $$ and got the DD3's instead.

Now its time for some ladder bars, fender flares and mabye an ESPAR or something similar.

Did you ever contact Edge and ask if you could "upgrade" and trade your two boxes + a lil bit of $$$ for a COMP? I believe they were doing this for a while and around $250. The adjustabilty of it for me was worth it due to this winter having the DDIII's in which I can't "turn off" so I set my COMP to Level I Sublevel I when its snowing/icy out. And also as I said, the smoothness is very noticable vs the "old combo".

While the Comp may be smoother, you can get the same effect with the PE/EZ combo by turning the PE off from inside the cab and setting the jumper to 3 on the EZ, which is likely where it would be with DD3's and a tight TC. The PE is in cab adjustable, just 3 levels instead of 5. The Comp is the current rage, wonder what it will be next?
