Exhaust brakes are not a primary stopping

device. But they can greatly help reduce

brake loads and prolong brake life.



I also found that bleeding more often AND

changing the power steering fluid also helped.



On my year truck the power steering pump

is also the pump for the brake boost.

Things improved (just slightly) when I

changed to the Synth. fluid. There was

another post about that in the forum.



I have been hesitant about the steel braided

hoses. The ones that I had on the RX-7 were

tefelon inside and were not rated below

say 20oF because of they could crack. This

was generally not a problem here on the west

coast.

I will take a look at the line.

I did love the feel of the braided hose.

They took out a lot of spungely feel from the pedal.
