Exhaust brakes are not a primary stopping
device. But they can greatly help reduce
brake loads and prolong brake life.
I also found that bleeding more often AND
changing the power steering fluid also helped.
On my year truck the power steering pump
is also the pump for the brake boost.
Things improved (just slightly) when I
changed to the Synth. fluid. There was
another post about that in the forum.
I have been hesitant about the steel braided
hoses. The ones that I had on the RX-7 were
tefelon inside and were not rated below
say 20oF because of they could crack. This
was generally not a problem here on the west
coast.
I will take a look at the line.
I did love the feel of the braided hose.
They took out a lot of spungely feel from the pedal.
