I love my AutoMeter Ultralites. They do not match factory. They are silver face with silver bezel. They look fantastic. At night they are very easy to read !
... at least the 1 I have Will be upgrading my pyro to an EV model now that they're becoming available-they were backordered to the moon when I got my gauges so I got a standard Isspro one... . horrible lighting. The EV's really are nice. Wish they offered an electric fuel pressure gauge though.
SPA is the only way to fly. I won't have anything else. You get 4 guages that you can read in the space for two, the analog combo's are hard to read for me.
I think SPA's are the best, but they are spendy. I might carry one of the other Analog gauges and then offer the SPA's on an by order basis. Look at em. . they are beatuiful... ...
While I liked the idea of two gauges in one, I had a hard time reading the constantly changing disply. With the analogs you get a feel for the needle and know where you are at just a glance.
I have the Z series autometer and like the lighting. No problems at night.
I have 3 DiPricol gauges ( Egt, boost and oil temp), one SPA ( post filter FP and rear diff. gauge) and one Autometer Ultralite 2 5/8" mechanical FP for pre-filter FP. I like them all, for different reasons, but would have a hard time picking just one manufacture. Looks like you will have to stock them all, Kurt .
I'm going to order mine soon. Ultralites. I've made a custom center console to take the place of the fold down cupholder. I've got five holes cut in the panel and I'm just waiting for some funds to purchase the gauges. Christmas is coming! I'll post pics when I get some gauges in the holes.
Alot of people druel over the Carbon Fiber Autometers in my truck... the crappy thing now is how am I gonna get the $$$ to change the 8 sport comps in my car over to Carbon Fiber
Well that should be easy..... I just need to stock about ten different brands... .
Lets weed some of them out... Do you know who has 40 and 60 psi Boost gauges? Remote/or isolated style Fuel Pressure gauge
Ok how about the customer service from the gauge maker?? I have heard some things. When I can't decide what to chose I find out who stands behind their stuff! That will usually sway me to that brand!!!!!
Kurt, my DiP. boost gauge is maxed at 60 psi's ( not that I see that) good quality, would buy it again.
As far as remote/isolated FP, I've been running my SPA without a snubber since the begining of this year, so far so good. The Autometer is also without a snubber, don't know how much that matters with a mech. FP gauge though.
Sorry I couldn't help more, promise to buy something when you are open for business .
Tcourse, Sorry it took me so long to get back to ya but my computer was down most of the weekend. My Dipricol gauge goes all the way up to 60#, I didn't even know they made a 30# boost gauge. you might want to give TST a call they sell the Dipricol gauges and have the 60# boost gauge. It all depends on the mods you plan on doing, with the mods to my truck I push about 36# of boost at WOT. If you're stock or lightly bombed then the 30# gauge would be just fine.
I used Westach. If they're good enough for airplanes, they're good enough for me... They have dual gauges, are resonably priced (especially the Fuel Pressure gauge) and easy to install...
