My lift pump died on me a couple days ago with what I thought was no warning. I ordered my fuel pressure gauge before this happened, but have yet to install it (oops). So how can you tell if your pump is dying without a gauge? One thing I noticed but chalked up to the cold weather was that the MPG on my computer was down, like 3 to 4 MPG. I thought maybe it had magically become accurate or something... Also, my turbo was not boosting up like it used to, especially when I was already on the move. Again, not sure why. Checked for boost leaks but nothing I could find. Maybe the cold and winter fuel? Hey, I'm pretty new to diesel repair. Anyway. Pump died, got a new one. MPG's back up and I just saw 40PSI on my stock turbo according to my Edge Attitude. Is that too high?
