Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) yr200 nv4500 is 5th gear nut fixed?

on my 2000 nv4500 bot new does it have the fixed 5th gear nut?

It has the same old mainshaft that causes the problem.

so should i fix it now , iam not driving it at all now awaiting for bigger



turbo so i can pull trans if nneded of do i pull output rear section whice trane is in truck

You can fix fifth gear with the shaft you have --OR-- spend $$ pull the transmission If you got the time I'll post the fix Sat 08-05...

You need to pull the trans and disassemble all the gears off the main shaft. I have a friend in Vegas who does all the labor, r&r, trans rework, for 275. that should give you an idea of what a good price would be for someone to do it for you.
