After reading about these products I would like some feedback from users of Zaino's products. What products did you use? It seems like they are a lot of work to put on but if they last for a long time they may be worth the effort and expense. I have to wash my truck frequently (salt and slush in winter, bugs, dirt and mud in summer) . The waxes I have been using do not seem to last very long. Also have any of you tried their leather products?

I use Z 1,2,5,6,7. I like them for the ease of use and durablilty of product. I'm not sure how you got the idea that they are more work to apply than any other waxes, but they require no extra effort beyond what most products require. One advantage they seem to have is you can leave the polishes on the truck in the sun and it's still very easy to remove. I've done that years ago with a name brand wax, I was wore out after removing it. I think if you'll give it a try, you will like the stuff. On durability, mine is still protected even after sitting outside for a year while I was in Korea, the sun doesn't kill this stuff like some other products.

Zaino is pretty pricey stuff - by the time you buy all the various 1,2,3,5, etc, and the "special" polishing rags they specify, you'll have well over $100 invested! But it's one of the better polishes available - you won't be disappointed with the quality - but you MUST pay attention to the application instructions to get best results - I have a section in the website pointer below where I did a test of Zaino against Mequiars and another brand of competing polish, if you want to check it out...

I have yet to find anything that compares to Zaino. The shine and protection are awesome. After the initial application, repeat coats are so easy and quick to put on. Also super easy to buff out. The shine gets better and better as you put more coats on. As long as you use the Zaino soap you wont have to re-wax all the time. I can go for at least 6 months between waxing. Zainos customer service is top notch also.

Love the stuff...

It is a stiff initial investment, but it took all the swirl marks out of the factory clear coat on my 95 Impala SS...

Seems to have more "staying" power than anything else I've tried, too.

Gotta give it a big thumbs up!

I love the stuff too..won't use anything else

I have been using it for only 2 years but it's the best I have tried. And I have tried all the different kinds. It's easy too apply, easy to remove, goes a long way, no white chalky residue, won't stain black plastic surfaces and smells good.

Sometimes it takes a couple of hours to dry. Especially on humid days. If you go to remove it before it's good & dry it will smudge and smear.

I tried Zaino's additive that you add to their polish to help it dry faster. I didin't care for it at all. It seemed to kill the gloss enhancement.

I do wish I had never read that "Multiple coats of Zaino Polish deepens the gloss" This is very true. If you are impressed with 1 application the next one deepens and enhances gloss more. After 3 coats I can almost "swim" in the paint. Looks an inch deep. Well maybe a little exaggeration. :)(considering non-wetsanded factory paint)

O. K. so how long did it take you all to do your first application. Not multiple coats, because you say they go quicker. But I am talking the fist time you used the product until the first coat was on with all the steps taken. How many hours/days? And how many steps did you do?

Given a somewhat normal day how long to dry? How about how long with high humidity?

It could take the better part of the day to do a truck. . I guess all depends how anal you are. I have never did a 2-3 consecutive coat wax job on my truck, thats what the spray on Gloss enhancer is for IMHO. The 1st step is a wash with dish soap to get all the wax or anything else that on the paint. Then you take a spray bottle with a cap full of the Zaino soap and Clay bar the whole truck (tech tip... after the clay bar get used up... save it for the hard to see areas on the truck like the rockers. Use a clean(new one) on the hood and sides) Then wash the truck with the zaino soap and dry. Apply the poshish lok(Z-1). Now your ready for wax now. Up and down on the sides (NOT IN CIRCLES... especially on black) I wait over night for it to dry. JB

I concur with all the positive replies so far. Over the last 18 years, I have used every name brand available from normal car parts stores, and they are all better than nothing, but Zaino is far and away the best I have ever used. Period.

I wouldn't use anything else...

You've really gotta try it. For starters, I'd recommend Z1, Z2, and Z6 gloss enhancer. I was a bit reluctant of the Z6 at first, but it has become my favorite Zaino product. You'd probably like the Z7 car wash, too. Smell/cleans good & you don't worry about stripping the wax, or adding a different (bad) wax/treatment.

Start with a good wash, using dish soap to strip off any old waxes. If your truck's a little rough (or if you've never done it), then use a clay bar to pull all the contaminents out of the paint, and leave it baby-smooth.

I'd recommend buying it from Eckler's Corvette supply, in Florida. They don't have a minimum shipping charge, and you'll probably get a nice Corvette catalog out of the deal. Same prices as direct from Zaino Bros.

Keep us posted.

I use Race Glaze , Easy on Easy off. I can do my truck easily in an hour about every other month , I use it on all my rides . It is a polish and you can't overdo it.

The Zaino leather stuff works well too - though there are several competing brands that seem equally satisfactory. You might do a search on "gloss boss" that was a lady who dealt in Zaino products, and one of the few who would take credit cards as payment - most used to want cash/check payment.
