I have used Liquid Glass polish on my vehicles for at least 15 years while dabbling with other brands and always went back.

I decided to try the Zaino products.

1. Z-2 show car polish

2. Z-6 Gloss enhancer spray

3. Z-7 Show car wash and wax

4. Z-12 Glass Polish

5. ZFX Flash cure additive

This stuff is absolutely the best product I have tested to date. Being that 50 is right around the corner I have tested a lot of automotive cleaning/waxing products. I experimented on the wifes 02 Dakota:D . Her truck is a dark blue and I believe the shine goes forever. The next real test is how Zaino's holds up to the Arizona sun. That was one of the reasons for using Liquid Glass as it would hold up pretty well for a year or so with no fading of the paint. The Zaino products have a UV rating of 40 and in that case I am confident that it will pass the sun test with flying colors. The Last test will be for longevity. If you like to experiment with wax/polish I would highly recommend trying the Zaino products.

I have looked for the Zaino products in store's before with out any luck of finding. Is this a internet product only, or am I just looking in the wrong places.

Its funny you should post this today. I just finished doing my wifes car with Zaino for the first time. Wash, Z1,Z2,Z6. I cannot believe how unbelievable this car came out. I just stood there looking at the car for hours, watched the sunset on the hood, the car looks wet! I can't wait to see this stuff on my 66 Chevelle.

Check out the "wax test" section in the website in my sig below for a detailed comparison of Zaino against Meguiars and another good quality polish...

The Zaino will do great in the Arizona sun. I don't get quite the long hot days, but being a mile high here in the Albuquerque area has the other element of high altitude. Sure can pick out the lobster colored sea level tourists in the summer. :D

I managed to have gone 2 years now without a full polish and this stuff still looks amazing. Finally bought another kit a couple weeks ago to get it all shined up again. Invest in the clay bar also. This is great for cleaning up the hood and roof areas of all the fallout on those surfaces.

Another vote for Zainos products here. I have used them for the last 4 years, doesn't get as hot in Sacramento as in AZ, but no other polish/wax does worth a darn up here. Zaino all the way!!

Which to buy

Since some have stated they have used this product for awhile, what suggestions could you give to someone trying it for the first time. Another words I don't won't to buy a kit an have a lot extra stuff I did'nt need. Mainly looking for the UV protection an of course nice shine. I did notice on there website they listed some photos, an testimonials. My truck is white an wife's vehicle is indigo blue.

UMMmmm - testimonials and Internet photos placed there by the outfit SELLING the product, UNH-HUHhhhh, yeah, suuuure...

Zaino is a good product - but perhaps a good index of what really works, is what the professional car show and concours folks use on their high $$$ cars...

Betcha you'll find MOST use Meguiars or Mothers polish products... ;)

BUT, Zaino is what I used on my '98 Camaro SS...

You wanna rely upon the "quality" of internet photos as "proof" of wax superiority, I've got a bridge to sell ya... ;)

Like I said earlier, check out the photos in the "wax/polish test" section in my web pointer in my sig where Zaino was tested against 3 other waxes to see how reliable Internet photos are...

The products I posted I believe are the essentials other than the glass polish. I picked that up because I still have not found anything that meets my satisfaction in that department.

The one thing I did do was mix the polish with the hardener to make 2ozs. I only used 1oz. on the Dakota. After it is mixed and you do not use it you throw the rest away. Next time I will mix in 1oz. increments.

1. Washed with liquid Dawn to remove old residue.

2. Clayed to remove debris in paint. (Mothers clay bar)

3. Used 3M finesse-it finishing material.

4. Finally applied Zaino polish

Total time 6hrs.

I follow these same steps on every wax/polish job.

Zaino's recommends $20. 00 cotton towels, I used ordinary Terry Cloths.

I would personally not pay any attention to the photo section on the web site since I really did not see anything in a picture that swayed me one way or the other. Almost anything looks good in a photo as long as it does not have primer spots and unfinished bondo. The only testimonials I would rely on is from people on this site. All the photos and letters on their site may sway some but I look for the final outcome.

NOW you've got it! :)

Shucks, if I stood just right, even *I* might look good in an internet photo...

NAHHhhhhh... ;) :p

Terry Cloths

So how did the ordinary Terry Cloths do??? Are you talking about the ones you buy in bags of 20 or so???I have not done the Zaino process yet, but the plan is to get it done before MM04.

I am having a hard time convincing my wife to spend $60. 00 on towels for me to cut the trim off and use to wash the truck with:D

OK you can laugh if you want but I went to a Dillard's and bought my towels. They had cotton towels for 70% off about a month ago, and I bought all the white towels the 2 stores close buy me had. I then took the really hudge ones and cut them into 2 towels and then sowed the edges. I guess I'm the regular little "Suzie Home Maker". ;) :D

I love the Zaino products, much better than the Meguiars I was using. The quick detailer they have is awesome to, it works great to keep the truck looking good after those little rain showers or the dusty roads. One word of advise though, is if you haven't used a clay bar on the truck already I would strongly advise it. The clay bar will get the clear coat good and clean for the wax and polish.

Oh yeah! Be careful, cause after you are done with the polish the truck will be super slick. I couldn't even sit the bottle on the hood without it sliding off. ;)

Those are the ones. I to have a hard time justifying $20. 00 towels to use on the truck. If it was going to auto shows it would be a different story. The terry cloths worked very well.

i have been using zaino for years first one my vette when i had it and now on everything else. I even had one car that the clear had been rubbed through on and whenit was covered with zaino you couldnt tell. I agree with DaveC on the initial application, it does take some time but all subsequent application can be completed in a very short time. The zaino applies very easily and you can let it dry for hours and it comes right off(if your not using the hardener). I am what you can call a car nut i bought top of the line microfiber towels for my black truck I didnt want any swirl marks and after a year it still looks great no swirl mark i do use 3M finessit and ebony.
