Royal purple in the 6spd?

???????The B2?????????

It's good but important when switching to this type of long life coolant to flush the system well. As little 10% of the old af will decrease the life of the Zerex to the same length as a non-extended life af.

Some people have reported having a hard time finding the G-05, if you have consider yourself lucky.

I went to Cummins to pick up some premixed Fleet guard coolant, and the cost was a little on the expensive side, so they steered me to the Zerex, which was right beside the Fleet guard brand, it's Cummins approved which is good enough for me.

I just got some at Autozone, about $9. 00/gal. It is not premixed, should have 30-50% water. It is almost clear color, slight yellow tint.

I found it at 2 different auto parts stores- Oriellys(sp?) and Auto Zone. Auto zone had quite a selection of Zerex coolants, The regular stuff, Max life? Extended life, and G-05. I think the max life was for older vehicles. I used the regular stuff last time, and it has worked pretty good. I'm not worried about extended life, I just need something that will last about 2 years. If the G-05 will work good in my 91, I might get that. The main reason for the change was some new hoses that I'm going to put on there. I'll probably flush it today and run it a couple days like that. Will it hurt anything to run a couple days with just the flush and water?

Steve, I'd follow the directions on the flush, some aren't made to be in that long and could cause damage. I usually run straight water in mine for a couple days after draining then drain it again before adding anti-freeze.

sorry it took so long to get back to this, but the computer was on the fritz all week.

I got my hoses put on Fri. I'll probably run the cleaner a couple days, it says 3-6 hours. I'm still not decided on the coolant, The regular Zerex I used last time looked pretty good. I'm not real sure about using the G-05 in my 91?

I put the G-05 in mine a few months ago and obviously can't say if it is good or bad. I did a bit of research and basically decided that was what I was going to use. The technology is the same stuff put in the new trucks so it must be ok for my truck. When I did the swap I ran the flusk for a day back and forth to work, about 100 miles and then drained it and flushed with demin water and ran that for a day and then did 3 or 4 more flushes by just draining, filling, getting up to operating temperature, draining and doing it again. It was amazing how many flushes it took to really get all the green color out of the system. Does the 91 have an aluminum radiator? If it does I would say no problem with the G-05 but that's just me. I think they are all pretty good

Any coolant I run would probably be O. K. , its almost as bad as oil choices, but we won't get into that. The two I'm looking at now are the Regular(Heavy Duty?) Zerex and the G-05.
